SGN provides GiveBack Clinic Template which includes
Program Specifics:
High-performing, high-character athletes are provided the opportunity to share how he/she gives back and how it helps and why it is important.
OUTCOMES
Service-learning opportunity is created where young athletes are taught the importance of giving back to their communities and it helps keep them grounded and fulfilled. Philanthropic education is taught by sports role models who now have a platform to ignite the passion in others.
Children are educated about different program areas and organizations available to them and to their peers. SGN meets them where they are in their busy lives and allows them to feel the sense of fulfillment in being able to help others.

In July of 2018, three area mothers founded Sow Good Now, a faith-based 501c3 public charity located in Thornton, PA. These mothers , former college athletes and mothers of athletes, recognized the disparities in youth sports and created Sow Good Now, a youth sports philanthropy organization designed to empower student athletes to uplift underserved youth and utilize their collective power to create lasting change. The vision of Sow Good Now is to raise the next generation of philanthropic athletes, and through their innovative GiveBack model, they have engaged a growing number of community partners and over 2500 youth in serving their communities through the sports they love. These sports include baseball, football, basketball, hockey, rugby, tennis, lacrosse, swimming, volleyball, softball and more are being added each year.
Youth Sports Philanthropy Brings Lasting Change
Sow Good Now is different because traditional service projects for athletic teams have had minimal impact on bridging communities. Most service activities are collection based and donations are dropped off for distribution by an intermediary . Sow Good Now unites athletes with underserved youth and builds new communities through their GiveBack events which foster sustained community engagement. Furthermore, Sow Good Now leverages the infrastructure of organized youth sports as a distribution model for youth philanthropy.
Engaging in sport provides many physical, social, emotional, and cognitive benefits for youth as well as a safe space for high school and college athletes to practice mentoring. The Sow Good Now GiveBack model leverages key characteristics of high performing athletes such as their willingness to fail publicly, embrace diversity in roles and work toward a common goal when advancing youth philanthropy education and activities. Sow Good Now starts with student athletes, but is open to all. This framework harnesses unique and diverse gifts fueled by collective compassion to build the architecture of giving back for generations to come.
There are three pillars present in the Sow Good Now GiveBack model.
Three Pillars:
Sow Good Now leadership unites High School /College athletic programs with geographically adjacent but socio-economically diverse youth groups through a GiveBack program .We then nurture and solidify those relationships so they endure and prosper.
Sow Good Now provides activity based philanthropic education and leadership development opportunities to the student athletes to prepare them to serve their communities in a holistic way through the sports they love.
Engaging youth as philanthropists not only equips them with transferable skills but also nurtures a sense of purpose, connection, and a lifelong commitment to community service. Research underscores that when youth engage in giving back, they are more likely to continue their philanthropic efforts as adult
